Welcome to the course webpage for the Extremal Combinatorics course taught by Jonathan Noel at the University of Victoria taking place during September-December 2024.
The same lecturer is teaching a Discrete Optimization course in 2025 in a similar format.
Students at the University of Victoria can register for the course normally. The course numbers are Math 426 (undergraduate) and Math 529 (graduate).
Students at other PIMS-affiliated institutions can register for the course as a PIMS Network Wide Course via the Western Deans Agreement. See the PIMS Network Wide Course page for information about the Western Deans Agreement.
Other students are welcome to attend the lectures on Zoom, YouTube or in person. However, we cannot mark the work of students who are not officially registered.
